On July 1st, 2019, Acadsoc held a cooperation signing ceremony with Ascentis, the UK official foreign teacher certification agency, at Prestonfield House in Edinburgh, England.
Ascentis is a UK-certified certification authority, regulated by the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation, and the TESOL certificate is a UK-regulated, globally-accepted and internationally authoritative certificate.
Founded in 1975, Ascentis transforms the lives of around 170,000 people every year through its range of cutting-edge qualifications and specialist software and the charity’s board are thrilled to be extending their reach to Asia. “I am delighted that Ascentis will be working in partnership with ACADSOC to train thousands of people world-wide and support the ambitious educational objectives of China", Phil Wilkinson, CEO Ascentis.
In addition，Ascentis have partnered with ACADSOC to create a bespoke level 4 (one-to-one online) teaching qualification to up-skill more than 20,000 teachers worldwide. As a certification body of the ACADSOC TESOL course, Ascentis will review and supervise the implementation and testing process of the ACADSOC TESOL training course, and issue TESOL certificate to each qualified teacher.
Moreover, the TESOL course has a total of 13 credits, and its credits are recognized by the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS), which is prevalent in the higher education sector in the EU and partner countries.
